Meet Alisse Iowa newborn photographer

Hi I am Alisse. I am an associate photographer for Ali Kerr Photography. I cannot wait to meet you and help your family capture some precious moments in your life. While I am new to Ali Kerr Photography, I am far from new to the art of photography. My love of photography started to blossom as I captured the miracles and milestones of a close friend’s twin daughters and continued to grow as I was blessed to be able to photograph the growth of my own children. Each session is custom tailored to your family. We take the time to get to know you and make sure you will love your photos. We want the personality of your family to shine, but we also want the experience to be a memorable one. We don’t want family pictures to be a check off the checklist, but rather a fun and enjoyable time you look forward to each year.  We would be honored to be part of the annual tradition of family photos for your family!

A note from Alisse

As a partner to Ali Photography, a mother, and wife to a church planter my life stays pretty busy. Family and milestone pictures are some of my favorite times of the year. Each time I blink I feel like my kiddos have grown and are doing something new. I love looking back on all the wonderful memories I’ve shared with my family throughout the years in pictures. The look of my husband on our wedding day, the big brown eyes of our newborn daughter, that smile that is so my son, and the memories made through our journey in foster care. Pictures are precious and I thank you for letting me capture these memories for you.

Why do I take Family Photos?

Family is such a gift and it’s a gift that is always changing. Families grow through marriage, birth, adoption, foster care. Parents become grandparents. Daughters become sisters. Sons become husbands, and so on. Families stick together through the good times and the tough times. Family is beautiful. The saying is that a picture is worth a thousand words and I think this is such a powerful statement.  Life changes so fast. You blink and that beautiful newborn baby in your arms is waving goodbye from the doorway of their college dorm. I take family pictures because they capture the laughter, the strength, and the love of a family over the years and help you to remember and reflect on your families’ story for years to come.

Why do I take Senior Photos

Senior photos are such a special event for young adults. They capture the memories of the last of childhood and the adventure of what is yet to come. Kids should be proud of all they have accomplished over their highschool years and senior pictures are a great way to capture their accomplishments, their passions, and their excitement for the future. Every person is beautiful and senior pictures are such a great opportunity to show a young person just how truly beautiful they are inside and out and celebrate all they have done.

Why I take milestone portraits

They are only a baby for a year….for some parents this phrase may make you shed a tear and for others it may make you sigh in relief haha. I am just amazed at the miracle of children and all the changes that occur in the first year. I absolutely love milestones sessions and having the ability to capture that squishy newborn, that gummy smile; those first steps. They are only a baby for a year, but the memories captured through pictures last forever.

Why do I volunteer?

I love having the opportunity to be involved in my community. I have had the privilege to be a volunteer with Bridgehaven for the last 2 years and enjoy teaching parenting classes and connecting with other parents in the corridor area.

Why do I print images?

I print images because they make me smile and bring smiles and joy to others as well. I love walking through my house and in each room pausing to look at the pictures of our children and reflecting on the memories of the times the pictures were taken. I love having the opportunity to send printed pictures to relatives and hear the excitement in their voice when they arrive and we can share a laugh about my kiddo’s funny face in the image. And lastly, I love when I go to someone else’s home and get a glimpse into their story through the images displayed in their home.
